Spey Whisky
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Speyside Distillery is located at the headwaters of the River Tromie, a Spey River tributary.  It ran its first
spirit on Christmas day 1990.  The current owners, Harvey's of Edinburgh, was founded in 1770.
Our available whiskies are from the Latin series issued by Spey.  In honor of Lord Byron, they each
have a Latin name that describes their nature.

Fumare is Latin for smoky.  Fumare is the peated expression from Spey.
It is a medium peating level and is made using highland peat so it lacks the iodine character of the island
whiskies.  It is aged in ex-Bourbon barrels for a fresh, sharp, smokiness.

Tenne is Latin for tawny.  It is initialy aged in ex-bourbon barrels and then transfered to freshly emptied Port
casks for at least 6 months.  The imparts a bright, rose hue and sweet Port warmth to the whisky.

Trutina is Latin for natural.  Trutina is fully natural with no chill filtration and no color added.  It is aged
in ex-Bourbon barrels and gives the drinker the most natural of malt whisky flavors.
